Cayman First Policy Statement: Conservation for Caymanians First

Cayman First believes that the most endangered species in the Cayman Islands is the Caymanian people—and their preservation must be our nation’s highest priority.

The true purpose of environmental policy is not political control, economic sabotage, or blind adherence to foreign globalist agendas—but the protection and prosperity of our own people. Real conservation means clean air, fertile land, and reliable energy that empower Caymanians—not radical restrictions designed to suffocate local businesses and burden hardworking families.

A healthy environment matters only insofar as it sustains quality human life. We reject extremist ideologies that place hypothetical climate risks above real human suffering. The best environmental policy is one that empowers human life—today and for future generations.

We stand for balance: Responsible stewardship of our natural resources must go hand-in-hand with the fundamental rights of our people to affordable homes, secure jobs, stable food supplies, and energy they can actually afford. The environment matters only when it serves human prosperity—not as an excuse for elitist control or economic decline.

Rejecting Extremism, Defending Caymanians

Like the manipulated "science" of COVID lockdowns, today’s climate alarmism is a tool of politicians, activists, bureaucrats, and globalist corporations—used to justify higher taxes, crippling regulations, and attacks on local livelihoods. The same elites who shut down small businesses and silenced dissent now push climate hysteria—not for truth, but for power.

We say: Enough.

Cayman First refuses to apologize for putting Caymanians first. True environmentalism means:

  • Affordable energy—not unproven schemes that spike costs and kill jobs.
  • Food security—not foreign-led policies that hurt local farmers and fishermen.
  • Safe roads make strong communities—not radical "degrowth" fantasies that punish working families.
  • Real science—not fear-driven propaganda designed to control our future.

Our Land, Our People, Our Future

The Cayman Islands exist for Caymanians—not for foreign activists, not for corporate green profiteers, and certainly not for politicians who value virtue-signaling and fishing for foreign compliments over their own people’s survival.

No government has the right to sacrifice Caymanian well-being on the altar of globalist climate dogma. When we care more about how iguanas sleep than about children sleeping in their parents' cars night after night, we are not putting Caymanians first. Conservation must uplift and support our people—not punish them.

The future belongs to those who defend Caymanian prosperity, Caymanian jobs, and Caymanian sovereignty. We will not surrender to extremism. We will put Caymanians First.
